Former Chicagoan
Mike Fak currently lives in Lincoln
Illinois with his wife Sharon, and son Timothy.
A writer since his
days in the U.S. Army in the late 60s, Mike has just released his fourth personal book. The book: Portions of a Life
is on sale at all on line booksellers as well as directly from this site.
Mike has helped
write thirteen books for individuals and is currently helping five other new authors complete their manuscripts.
Mike has written
thousands of newspaper columns, primarily for the award winning Opinion Page of the Lincoln Courier. He hosts a local radio
show on 96.3 F.M. Atlanta Illinois and recently began allowing web generated magazines to carry some of his work. In
the last year, over 500,000 readers have become familiar with Mike's writing on the web.
Mike is also the managing editor
of the online newspaper, www.lincolndailynews.com
a daily publication with over
10,000 readers and 53,000 page views per issue.
Although Mike has spent a great
deal of time as a newspaper columnist, he recently passed on an opportunity to be placed through the national desk for
the Gatehouse Media Group of newspapers in order to spend more time helping clients write and prepare their manuscripts
for the public domain. As of Dec, 2008, a "Google" of "Mike Fak" still showed his name incorrectly listed in the Gatehouse
News Service website as an opinion columnist.
Although Mike
has a personal file of books he hopes to finish and market someday, his current "writing services" business has him scurrying
to keep up with his client's demands. Of that he is eternally grateful.
